Lominger International Associate Chuck Shields is president of Charles A Shields and Associates, LLC, a leadership, organization design, and development consulting firm.
His firm helps organizations design and implement selection and development processes, build competency models, create talent review processes and align the organization’s efforts to improve organizational capability and culture. He also provides executive coaching, career planning and counseling, and multi-rater feedback assessments.
Chuck has 30 years of business experience in entertainment, lodging retail, service, real estate development, computer and health care organizations, including two Fortune 500 companies. Prior to starting his consulting practice he was senior vice president of human resources and administration for Manor Care, Inc. and Choice Hotels, International.
Chuck consults with operational and functional groups at the senior management level in the areas of leadership, executive coaching, selection, performance management, and organizational design and development. His clients are primarily medium to large organizations across several industries. |
Chuck works with senior and middle management groups to create talent review processes aimed at selecting and developing future organizational leaders.
As one of the founders of the Disney University he has leveraged his experience in instructional design, to develop and deliver a variety of programs in areas such as employee orientation, performance management, selection, giving and receiving feedback, customer service, leadership development and supervisory training.
Chuck has presented at national conferences speaking about his work in the areas of selection, employee retention and leadership development.
He has been an Associate of Lominger International since 1997 and started working with the tool set in1994 at Manor Care, Inc. He is certified in all the Lominger products and primarily works with clients who are looking for an integrated solution that supports culture and improved organizational capability.
Chuck holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from the University of Long Beach California.
